Intrusion Alarm Systems (IAS), also known as Burglar Alarm Systems, are typically installed in areas where departments wish to have local control over arming and disarming of the security components (doors, windows, motion detectors, panic buttons, etc.). Typical applications for IAS systems can be found within buildings in areas such as cash collection points, storage of expensive equipment or rare artifacts, etc. These systems are programmed to dial the University Police Department in the event of a breach in security. This system is monitored 24/7/365. Recurring monthly billing for IAS is provided though Information Technology Services (ITS).
