All departments activating Access Control and Security Systems are required to appoint a Department Physical Security Representative. A Dean, Director or Department Head must designate at least one individual within a department to act as the Security Representative. FSUPD will only accept and process requests from Department Security Representatives or the Dean, Director, Department Head, or Chair. These requests may include but are not limited to:
- Consultation for security services
- Changes to security configuration
- Card access requests for students, faculty and staff
- Locking and unlocking schedules
- Individualized Training
These requests must be submitted through the Service Center ticket system. Instructions on how to submit a ticket can be found here.
The department must also submit a list of two department personnel who can be contacted by the FSU Police Department at any time (to include work phone numbers, cellular phone numbers, and/or home phone numbers) in the event of a security breach. The system cannot be activated until the above information is provided to FSUPD CASS.
Departments can also update Department Security Representatives by filling out the Department Security Representative Authorization Form and emailing or faxing this form back to FSUPD CASS. The form may be emailed to publicsafetyCASS@fsu.edu or faxed to 644-3205.
