The current length of time that a door may be opened during a period when the system is armed is ten (10) minutes. After ten (10) minutes an alarm is generated and presented to FSUPD Communications/ Dispatch. The University reserves the right to extend this alarm shunt period on an individual basis based on usage of the area that requires such extension. When an alarm is “shunted”, no alarm is generated to the University monitoring station until the shunt time is exceeded.
